It never fails to amuse me that in WWII shooters, the weapon audio uses foley recordings – recordings of the actual weapons being fired – yet from game to game the same weapons all sound totally different. This is most noticeable when playing through the Medal Of Honor franchise.
So…what’s that all about then? Surely a Kar is a Kar is a Kar, right?
On a side note, the M1 Garand sound effect above is taken from the weapon in Medal Of Honor: Frontline. I have decided that THIS is the correct sound.
