THE MEATS are obviously more massive and dense than THE LEAFS and so remain submerged whilst THE LEAFS and other ASSORTED NONSENSE floats to the top.

This makes it easy to skim THE LEAFS and ASSORTED NONSENSE from the top to feed a crate full of GRUBBY ORPHANS and ABANDONED KITTENS (which is kept nearby) to fulfill my daily philanthropical and karmic commitment.

that is a familiar conversation, except your head is usually in the foods before it’s cooked!

I know never to lift the lid on a slow cooker. Apparenty if you do all the food inside instantly goes off, becomes inedible, and also a puppy dies.

That’s what my mum told me anyway.
